BETA STARK IN USA

Purvines racing has two events under their belt for the season and is all set for round 1 of the AMA/FMF National Hare and Hound being held in Lucerne Valley this weekend. The Beta-supported team finished strong in their first two outings starting with four top-ten finishes in the Best in the Desert Parker 250. The very next day, Nick Burson dominated on his Beta 498 RR at the AMA District 37 Jackrabbits desert scramble with a solid 10 minute lead over the second place finisher.

Burson describes the race, "The Jackrabbits race on Sunday was really good for me. I lead the race from start to finish. My Beta 498 RR helped me pull the long uphill start and get me out front ahead of the dust. From there I kept my lead all the way to the checkers."

The team was successful at the Parker 250 by taking three class wins with Todd Abratowski and Chris Mast winning the over 40 Pro, Dan Capparelli and Dennis Belingheri winning the Over 30 Pro, and Jeremy Purvines and Curtis Bradley winning the 250 Pro on the new Beta 250 RR 2 stroke.

Purvine's team is dedicated to getting the Betas out front. The Purvines team is not new however Beta relatively new to the Desert scene at the top level. The bikes will continue to be developed for the rider's needs with help from American Beta and the Beta factory in Italy.

"We are totally committed to Purvine's efforts, we know the challenges we are faced with being the "new guy" out there but with Ron and Sheila Purvines and their team manager Collin Woolsey helping develop the bikes to suit their needs, we feel we will reach our goals for the team very swiftly. We are all ecstatic at the results from the first two events so far, taking the Pro class in three different divisions was more than we expected at the Parker 250 and then with Nick winning the overall at the D37 race, we cannot be more pleased."
